Monolith Cycle

I created a monolithic form in which I could use a style of narrative architecture to display the connection between a monolithic entity and its environment. My photoshop collage displays how the monolith would be seen by the regular human eye in its natural landscape, while the second drawing I made shows a more abstract representation of how the monolithic form reproduces itself and keeps its landscape constantly growing and reproducing in an endless plunging cycle. I was inspired by the works of Joan Miro’s ‘Hunter’ and Ivan Leonidovs’s ‘Sun City’ when developing the composition and style of my drawing. The color palette of the mysterious blue that engulfs the monolith and its landscape suggests a mysterious unexplainable force in which this whimsical cycle inexplicably maintains itself. The movie is very literal and shows the direct mechanics of the monolith reproducing itself in its environment.
